About The Model Tree Shop

The Model Tree Shop is a UK specialist in model trees and landscaping materials for model railways, wargaming, architectural models, dioramas, dolls houses and other miniature scenes.

We stock trees in a wide range of styles, colours and sizes, from small plastic trees and affordable woodland packs to detailed twisted-wire, etched-brass and large-scale specimen trees. Our landscaping range also includes static grass, ground cover, plants, flowers, hedges, shrubs and scenery materials from specialist manufacturers.

Finding the right tree

Real trees do not come in standard sizes, and choosing a tree purely by model railway scale can be misleading.

A small tree may suit the foreground of an N gauge layout, while a much larger tree could be entirely appropriate in OO or HO. For that reason, we provide measurements wherever possible and organise much of our range by physical height as well as scale.

Our story

The Model Tree Shop was established in 2005 and developed into one of the UK’s best-known specialist sources of model trees and landscaping products.

In October 2024, the business was transferred from the Bird family to Model Railway Magic Ltd in York. We have continued to build on the range and knowledge they developed, while improving stock availability, the website and the wide choice of scenery products.

Model Railway Magic Ltd also operates TrainTrax, a specialist KATO model railway retailer.
